CWAB honours Bangladesh Test team after Australia success
The Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) on Thursday hosted a luncheon and reception in honour of the Bangladesh Test team following their historic success in Australia last month.
Bangladesh returned to Australia after 23 years and came away with a 1-1 series draw against the hosts.
To celebrate the achievement, CWAB organised the reception at the newly added Tigers Den at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday afternoon.
Members of the Bangladesh Test squad and team management who were part of the Australia series attended the event, where CWAB presented special commemorative gifts to the members of the team in recognition of their achievement.
Bangladesh made history by winning the first Test in Darwin before Australia levelled the series with an innings-and-51-run victory in Mackay.
Bangladesh Cricket Board officials, along with members of CWAB's central committee and advisory council, were also present at the event.
