BCB and PCB in talks for a series in Bangladesh in July-August
Bangladesh are set to play their final Champions Trophy game against Pakistan in Rawalpindi before returning to the country and Bangladesh's next away assignment following the Champions Trophy is also against Pakistan when they travel to Pakistan for three T20Is and as many ODIs as per the ICC FTP schedule.
However, BCB and PCB are also discussing playing a series in the short window in July-August in Bangladesh, outside of ICC's FTP calendar. Bangladesh have two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is at home lined up against Sri Lanka in June-July and then a home series against India (three ODIs and as many T20Is) from third week of August till the end of the month.
There is a two-week window where the BCB and PCB want to arrange three ODIs and three T20Is.
"This is under discussion and both the boards are positive about it. When it's finalised it will be announced. It is likely that it would happen between the Sri Lanka and India home series," in-charge at BCB's cricket operations Shahriar Nafees informed.
Pakistan have an away tour of West Indies and a home series against Afghanistan in the July-August period and thus if the series is arranged, PCB would have to alter their FTP schedule commitments to make room for the series against Bangladesh.
