Bangladesh's women's team lost their opening match of the Womens Asia Cup T20 by six wickets against Sri Lanka at Kuala Lumpur today.

Sri Lanka chose to bowl first and  left-arm pacer Udeshika Prabodhani justified the decision almost instantaneously, having Shamima Sultana lbw off the second ball of the match.

Only three batters reached double figures as Bangladesh were bowled out for 63. They lost their last five wickets for just 11 runs, failing to come up with any answers to the Sri Lanka attack.

Left-arm spinner Sugandika Kumari grabbed three wickets for 17 runs. Sri Lanka chased down the required runs in 14.3 overs, losing four wickets.
