Sheikh Jamal defeat Agrani following Tanbir’s knock

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club defeated Agrani Bank Cricket Club by 28 runs following a blistering 71 from Tanbir Haider at BKSP, Savar.

Batting first, Sheikh Jamal lost three wickets inside 13 overs before a 144-run partnership between Digvijay Rangi and Elias Sunny stabilized the innings. The fourth-wicket partnership between Rangi and Elias was followed by a quick-fire 76-run partnership between Tanbir and Nurul Hasan for the sixth-wicket. Tanbir's 48-ball 71 contained five fours and three sixes. Sheikh Jamal posted 294 on the board for the loss of nine wickets.

In reply, Agrani were all out for 266 following a 31-ball 44 knock from Shafiul Isalm, who bagged four during Agrani's bowling innings.

In the other match that was played at BKSP, Brothers Union defeated Prime Bank Cricket Club by 24 runs as Alok Kapali struck a brilliant 67-ball 79 knock to help Brothers post 294 for the loss of seven wickets. In reply, Nahidul Islam struck a blistering 69-ball 88 with eight fours and four sixes but Prime Bank eventually fell 25 runs short of the target as they were all-out in 47.4 overs

In another match played at Fatullah, Legends of Rupganj defeated Mohammedan Sporting Club by 62 runs.

Rupganj posted 231 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets as opener Abdul Majid struck a 115-ball 70. Qazi Anik, who was included in the Tigers' T20 squad for the first match against Sri Lanka, bagged five wickets but ended up on the losing side as Mohammedan were bowled out for 169. Mosharraf Hossain bagged four wicket for 23 runs for Rupganj.
