Rain ruins BD A's 1st one-dayer
Bangladesh A team's first match of the five-match one-day series against Ireland Wolves was abandoned due to rain at the Oak Hill Ground in Ireland yesterday.
There was a delayed start to the game because of rain in the morning and the match was reduced to 28 overs-a-side after Ireland Wolves were asked to bat first.
Rain once again halted the game when the hosts were on 37 for one after 5 overs. Pacer Khaled Ahmed had removed opener Stuart Thompson for three before the stoppage, which turned out to be the last one of the day.
Bangladesh A will play the second one-dayer tomorrow at the same venue.
