Primary squads for upcoming series to be announced on May 5
Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed today that the primary squad for the Afghanistan and West Indies series will be announced on May 5 ahead of the training camp on May 13.
Tigers are set to prepare for a series against Afghanistan before they embark on a full tour of West Indies. The training camp on May 13 will start with fitness regime where the national players will look to get back into gear. Tigers last played in international matches at Sri Lanka where they made the final of the Nidahas Trophy.
Cricket operations manager Sabbir Khan is currently in Dehradun to inspect the venue for the upcoming series against Afghanistan which is scheduled for June this year. The BCB are willing to play three T20's instead of three ODIs against an up and coming Afghanistan, who have just been awarded Test status.
Sabbir will report on the venue in Dehradun upon return after which the BCB will decide how many matches the Tigers want to play.
