U-16s beat Pakistan by five wickets

Bangladesh U-16 won the first three-day match by five wickets against Pakistan U-16 at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah today.

Starting on an overnight score of 83 runs for three wickets, the young Tigers faced a bit of uncertainty, losing two more wickets today but they were able to pick up the required 37 runs without much trouble in the end.

Sakib Shahriar fell after a match-winning 65 that contained 11 fours. Rihad Khan (18) and Mahfuzur Rahman Rabbi (1) saw off the chase for Bangladesh. The second three-day match will be played in Khulna from Sunday, 5 May.
