Rain washes out Day 1
Persistent rain ruled out any play on day one of the second Test between New Zealand and Bangladesh in Wellington on Friday.
At 3:00 pm local time, the umpires came out for an inspection and decided that no play was possible in this weather. Play will start half-an-hour early tomorrow. However the forecasts say that there maybe some rain tomorrow morning.

Tigers coach Steve Rhodes said that the toss will play a crucial part in the match. The Kiwis wanted to clinch the series with another win at Wellington but now likely face the prospect of having to get a result in three days given tomorrow's weather forecasts. New Zealand coach Gary Stead believed that the wicket -- generally very batting friendly -- will lend help to the seamers.
"My view is [the pitch is] likely to be on the slow side early on, and as hopefully sun gets on it and maybe some wind, it might speed up and flatten out a wee bit. I imagine there will be plenty in it for the bowling team for certainly the first two days, maybe even longer," Stead was quoted as saying by NZ Herald.
As per New Zealand media outlet Stuff, weather station in Kelburn recorded 17.2mm of rainfall in the space of an hour between 8am and 9am.
