Kalabagan players make pending payments complaint

Seven Kalabagan Krira Chakra players talked to the Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury today about their pending salary payments from the Dhaka Premier League.

The BCB CEO heard the complaints from the players and informed them that the clubs have already been notified in this regard. Clubs have a say on why the salaries were not paid in due time and they will bring the issue to the board.

A few of the seven players who met the CEO today have received 50 percent of their payments while there were players who have not received payments.

Mohammad Ashraful who had struck an incredible five centuries in the DPL this season saw his team Kalabagan finish last in the Relegation League Phase. While it is not yet clear, whether Ashraful received payments, according to sources, his payments were not yet made. Apparently, Kalabagan have asked for one more day from Ashraful to make the payments.

It was learned that while the league was going on, Kalabagan gave a warning notice to the players that 15 percent of their salaries will be cut if performances were poor. The players signed an agreement at the time. Kalabagan have notified that they will cut 40 percent off players' salaries owing to poor DPL performances.
