West Indies vs Bangladesh T20Is

Tigers asked to bat in delayed start

Star Online Report

West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite won the toss in the first T20I against Bangladesh and has asked the visitors to bat first.

There are two changes to the Bangladesh side as they have swapped out two rookie pacers in Abu Hider and Abu Jayed -- both of whom played in Bangladesh's last T20I against Afghanistan in April -- for the more experienced pairing of Mustafizur Rahman and Rubel Hossain.

Mustafizur sat out the Afghanistan series, which Bangladesh lost 3-0, after picking up an injury in the Indian premier League in March. Rubel played the first match of the Afghanistan series, but was rested for the last two games.

There was a passing shower after the toss, which has caused a delayed start, but news from the ground is that play should start soon.
