Day 2 washed out too

Like the first day, the second day of the second four-day game between Bangladesh A and Sri Lanka A was abandoned without a single ball bowled due to incessant rainfall in the port city of Chittagong yesterday.

The match officials were unable to stage the toss over the first two days and with more rain forecast in Chittagong today, the game will surely head towards a draw even if play is possible.

The first four-day match also ended in a draw, with batsmen of both sides filling their boots in a high scoring affair where Lahiru Thirimanne, Dimuth Karunaratne, Mosaddek Hossain and Sabbir Rahman struck centuries.

The third and final four-day game is scheduled to take place from July 10 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, and it will be followed by a three-match one-day series.
