Seven BAF training aircraft procured from China arrive
The Bangladesh government, in its steps to modernise Bangladesh Air Force, has procured seven Chinese made K-8W training aircraft under an agreement, according to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The seven aircraft arrived at the Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque, Chattogram today after a successful ferry flight from Dehong Mangsgi, China by BAF pilots.
The mission was led by Group Captain A K M Abdur Rajjaque, psc, GD(P) of Bangladesh Air Force.
The aircraft were received at the BAF Base Zahurul Haque following the traditional customs of Bangladesh Air Force including water cannon salutes.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc including Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base ZahurulHaque and
senior officers were present on the occasion.
In addition to the existing K-8W training aircraft in BAF inventory, the inclusion of this newly purchased 07 X K-8W training aircraft will enhance the training as well as the operational capability of BAF, reads the ISPR statement.
