Chhayanaut hosts two-day ‘Shuddhasangeet Utsab’ honouring Ustad Allauddin Khan

Prominent cultural organisation Chhayanaut is hosting a two-day “Shuddhasangeet Utsab”, dedicated to legendary maestro Ustad Allauddin Khan, starting today and continuing through Saturday.

According to a press release, the festival is being held at the Chhayanaut Cultural Centre auditorium in Dhanmondi and is structured across three sessions over two days.

The first session takes place on Friday from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm. On Saturday, the second session will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by the third and final session from 2 pm to 9:30 pm.

Organisers said audience members must register separately for each session to gain entry to the auditorium.

Dedicated to the legacy of Ustad Allauddin Khan—one of the most influential figures in South Asian classical music—“Shuddhasangeet Utsab” aims to celebrate the depth, discipline and continuity of pure classical music through a series of carefully curated performances.
