20 BCL men suspended in Ctg, B’baria over mourning Sayedee's death
Twenty leaders and activists of Chhatra League in Chattogram and Brahmanbaria were suspended yesterday for allegedly mourning the death of war criminal Delawar Hossain Sayedee.
Of them, 17 BCL men are from Brahmanbaria while the rest are from Chattogram.
In Brahmanbaria, district BCL President Robeul Hossain Rubel posted two separate press releases on his Facebook yesterday afternoon in this regard, reports our correspondent there.
The 17 leaders and activists have been accused of indulging in activities contrary to the organisation's policy and ideology, said the releases.
In Chattogram, three leaders of Lohagara upazila unit BCL were suspended on the same ground, reports UNB.
They are upazila BCL vice-presidents Gazi Amjad and Md Tausif and deputy office secretary Abdullah Al Masum.
