Journalist Amir Khasru no more
Veteran journalist Amir Khasru died at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka yesterday while undergoing treatment. He was 64. He breathed his last around 7:00pm, his daughter Sadia Afrin confirmed.
Khasru had been suffering from various kidney and liver-related complications. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
He was a former Bangladesh correspondent for Voice of America and a diplomatic correspondent for the daily Ittefaq. He also served as executive editor of the weekly Budhbar. The family has yet to decide where and when he will be buried, Sadia said.
