The government is set to roll out awareness campaigns in 300 upazilas this month to ensure a festive atmosphere ahead of the 13th national election, scheduled for February next year.

A proposal to award the work directly to an event management company was approved this morning at a meeting of the Economic Affairs Adviser Committee.

According to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the initiative is expected to cost around Tk 25 crore.

As part of the campaign, the government plans to arrange screenings through LED activation caravans, broadcasting TVCs, video documentaries, and similar content across 64 districts and 300 upazilas nationwide.

Later in the day, during a meeting with Pascalle Grotenhuis, Dutch vice-minister for international cooperation, at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka, Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus reaffirmed his government's commitment to holding a free, fair, credible, and festive election in the first half of February, according to a statement from the CA Press Wing.
