Environment minister catches dengue
Md Shahab Uddin, minister for environment, forest and climate change, has been undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) after being diagnosed with dengue.
The minister is now under receiving treatment under the supervision of Dr Abul Kalam Azad, chairman of internal medicine department of the hospital.
Speaking to The Daily Star, the physician said the minister was admitted to BSMMU a few days back with low sodium levels in his blood. He is now doing better.
Rajib Deb Nath, personal staff of the minister, told this newspaper that the minister was diagnosed with dengue on August 22.
