Qcoom Scam: RJ Nirob gets HC bail in 5 cases

Star Digital Report

The High Court today granted ad-interim bail to Humayun Kabir alias RJ Nirob, head of sales (communications and public relations) at controversial e-commerce platform Qcoom, for six months in five separate cases.

The bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Kazi Md Ejarul Haque Akondo passed the orders after hearing five petitions filed by RJ Nirob seeking bail in the cases.

There is no legal bar for Nirob to get released from Keraniganj jail following the HC orders of bail, his lawyer Syed Mehedi Hasan told The Daily Star.

He said RJ Nirob, who was arrested on October 8 this year, is accused of total five cases including one filed under the Digital Security Act.

Nirob was a temporary employee of Qcoom, not a shareholder of the company, the lawyer said.
