15 rocket-propelled grenades, 510 bullets recovered from Habiganj's Satchhari forest

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) today recovered 15 rocket-propelled grenades, 25 boosters, and 510 bullets of long range automatic machineguns from Satchhari forest under Habiganj.

The arms and explosives were recovered from Satchhari Jatiya Udyan during a search operation led by CTTC unit's Deputy Inspector General Asaduzzaman.

The DIG at a press briefing at Chunarughat said that a youth named Abel Tripura Amit (33) was detained with a pistol from Dhaka's Jatrabari area yesterday evening.

Based on his information, CTTC members along with Amit started for Satchhari from Dhaka, the police official added.
