SSC candidate killed in road accident

An SSC candidate was killed while his father and three-year-old cousin were injured as two auto-rickshaws collided in the capital's Keraniganj area last night.

Kabir Hosen Sahil, a student of Hammadia High School, was returning home after dinner at a restaurant with his parents and relatives.

His father, Muhammad Sumon, 40, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with injuries to his head and his brother Nabil was also admitted there with injuries to his left leg.

"The accident happened in front of Konakhola Anwar City Park around 8:30pm," said Inspector Khaledur Rahman of Keraniganj Model Police Station.

Sumon's cousin Rana said Sahil was pronounced dead when he was rushed to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital.
