The railway communication from Dhaka to country's northern and southern districts was restored tonight, seven hours after coaches of a freight train derailed in Sirajganj's Ullapara.

The train movement began after the derailed coaches of the train were removed from the track around 8:45pm, said Pakshi Divisional Transportation Officer (DTO) Anwar Hossain.

The derailment massively disrupted train schedule of northern and southern districts, he told our Pabna correspondent.

Meanwhile, the railway has formed a four-member probe committee to investigate the incident, said Pakshi Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shah Sufi Nur Mohammad.

The committee, headed by Pakshi Divisional Transportation Officer (DTO) Anwar Hossain, was asked to likely to submit the report within seven working days, the DRM told our Pabna correspondent.

Pakshey Divisional Railway Engineer Birbol Mondol said, in primary investigation, they found the Ullapara Railway Station Master Abdul Gofur's negligence for the accident.

Abdul Gofur was suspended after the accident, he said, adding a new station master has been installed there.

Earlier, two coaches of the train coming from Ishwardi veered off the tracks near Ullapara Railway Station around 1:45pm.
