On Wednesday morning, the two cousins went fishing in a nearby waterbody, family members said. A villager cutting grass spotted them floating in the water and with the help of other locals took the children to Juri Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead.

Family members believe one of the children accidentally fell into the water and the other drowned while trying to rescue him.
