20 injured in clash
At least 20 people, including two women, were injured in a clash over a piece of disputed land at Kalitala village in Mirpur upazila yesterday. Police said Karim Sana Malitha and his cousin Don Malitha was a longstanding conflict over the land. As a sequel to the conflict, their supporters engaged in a clash in the morning. A chase and counter chase took place during the melee, leaving at least 20 from both sides injured. The injured were admitted to the upazila health complex. Separate complaints were lodged with Mirpur Police Station in this connection.
