Manikganj JCD demands dissolution of dist unit

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists ransacked district BNP office and brought out a procession in the town yesterday, demanding dissolution of the newly formed Manikganj district committee of JCD. The procession, which was brought out from Dashara area at around 12:45pm, paraded different streets in the town. At this, the JCD men stormed into the office and damaged its furniture, urging the central committee leaders to dissolute the newly formed committee headed by Rafik Uddin Bhuyan Habu as president. The new committee was formed with terrorists and apolitical person, alleged a press release signed by JCD leader Rajib Hasan Khan. The JCD central unit president and its secretary approved the seven-member Manikganj district committee on Saturday. The new committee members are president-Masud Parvez, senior vice president-Awlad Hossain, vice president-Nazmul Haque Liton, general secretary-Mustafizur Rahman Prince, senior joint secretary-Asifur Rahman Khan Ramil, joint secretary-Khondaker Tuhin and organising secretary-Jinnah Khan. The committee was formed five years after it was dissolved in 2008, said party sources.
