College student murdered
A college student was hacked to death by a gang on Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Tanzim Al Sakib Alvi, 18, son of Julfikar Ali of New Towns F block and also a second year student at Jessore Education Board School & College.
SI Asaduzzaman of New Town police outpost said, 7-8 youths hacked Alvi while he was returning home at about 10 pm. Locals rushed him to Jessore Medical College & Hospital where he died at about 10.30 pm.
