Former UP member jailed for taking drug
A mobile court on Friday and sentenced a former union parishad member to one month's jail for taking drug.
The convict was identified as Ruhul Amin, 40, son of Sabir Uddin of Shankarpur Madhyapara village under Kalupara union and former UP member of the same union under Badarganj upazila.
The prosecution alleged that police arrested him from Shankarpur Madhyapara village while he was taking drug.
Later he was produced before the mobile court in the afternoon which handed down the punishment.
