Another Mawa ferry terminal shut

Ferry services at Mawa in Munshiganj is being severely hampered as erosion by the Padma yesterday devoured more than 20 feet of ferry terminal no 1, compelling the authorities to shut it down indefinitely. Ferry terminal no 2 met the same fate on Tuesday as about 40 feet area of the terminal went into the river. The authorities later hoisted the red flag at the terminal (right).Photo: STAR
