Shibir man held with arms, ammo
Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) along with two pistols and eight bullets at Maachpara in Pangsha upazila of the district yesterday.
The arrestee is Raju, 28, son of Abdur Rashid Mollah of Kushtia district.
Acting on a tip-off, law enforcers raided a Daulatdia-bound bus from Kushtia at Maachpara at around 11:30am and arrested Raju.
They also recovered two pistols and eight bullets from his possession, said Abdul Khaleque, officer-in-charge of Pangsha Police Station.
