2 murdered in Jessore
Two people were murdered in separate incidents in the district on Monday.
The deceased are Sohel Rana, 30, son of late Tota Mia of Bokchar area in the town and Nuruzzaman, 42, son of late Ansar Ali of Bagdanga village in Sadar upazila.
Rana was stabbed to death by his cohorts over distribution of snatching money at City College area in the town at midnight.
Police arrested one Shanto alias Suman in connection with the murder, said Golam Rahman, officer in-charge at Kotwali police station.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered the body of Nuruzzaman, an expatriate, from a rail line in Churamonkathi area of the upazila in the morning.
The victim, who came to the country from Singapore three months ago, was found crushed under the wheels of a train.
Quoting family sources, the OC said Nuruzzaman was killed as a sequel to frequent feud with his wife over her extra marital affairs.
