Top criminal arrested in Jhenidah
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Sunday night arrested the ringleader of a notorious criminal gang, known as 'Ghena Bahini', after a gunfight at Gopalpur village in Kaliganj upazila.
The arrestee is Ghena Mollah, 45, son of Moslem Mollah of the village.
Rab-6 sources said, a team of the elite force from Jhenidah Camp launched a drive at Gopalpur around 9:30pm following a tip-off that the members of 'Ghena Bahini' were holding a secret meeting to commit crimes in the area.
Sensing the presence of the Rab men, the criminals opened fire triggering a gunfight .
The elite force arrested Ghena Mollah and recovered a single barrel gun, a shutter gun, three bullets and several sharp weapons from the spot.
