Boy drowns
An 11-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Mollabari village in Sarishabari upazila of the district on Saturday morning. The boy was identified as Forhad Hassain, son of Jalal Hossain of the village. He was a class IV student at a kindergarten at Boyra Bazar in the area. Locals and family sources said Farhad went to a pond near their house to take a bath at around 10:00am and drowned. Family members recovered the body from the pond at around 12:30 pm.
