Four kids drown
Four children drowned in Pabna and Khulna districts yesterday and the day before
Two kids drowned in ponds in Bera and Sujanagar upazilas of Pabna, reports our correspondent.
The victims are Shahin Hossain, 8, son of Azahar Uddin of village Bhadurvag in Sujanagar upazila and Laun Hossain, 6, son of Rezaul Karim of village Brishalikha in Bera upzila.
Locals said Shahin went to take bath at a pond of the village yesterday morning. But he drowned as he did not know how to swim.
Laun also drowned in a pond in the same way on Friday morning.
In Khulna, two children drowned in a pond at Talegati village in Dumuria upazila on Friday evening, reports UNB.
Touhidul Gazi, 7, son of Motin Gazi and his cousin Iktaer Gazi,6, son of Abul Gazi drowned near their house while trying to pick a balloon from the pond at about 6 pm.
