Lightning kills farmer
A farmer was killed by lightning at a field at Chupukuria-Kazla village in Nachole upazila yesterday noon. The victim was identified as Sharikul Islam, 25, son of Nazrul Islam of Kalohoir village under Kasba union of the upazila. Abdul Kader, chairman of Kasba union parishad and locals said, Sharikul died on the spot at around 2:00pm, when a thunderbolt struck him during rain. He was ploughing a crop field, they said.
