Police arrested Mithu on November 27 and Rupom at Khajuria bus stand in Jessore on November 28. Later, Tappu surrendered to the court. After investigation, police pressed charges against Rupom and Tappu. Mithu was released from jail as the investigation officer did not press charges against him Court sources said Rupom gave confessional statement before Senior Judicial Magistrate Abul Bashar on November 29 in 2011.
