20 trees of Louhajang-Mawa Road felled

Louhajang upazila parishad chaiman under Munshiganj district felled at least 20 trees of Louhajang-Mawa Road at Kumarbhog village in the upazila to build what he said a boundary wall of his homestead along the road. The upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) and an engineer of the Roads and Highways Department said the chairman had cut down the trees without informing the authorities concerned and following procedure.
