Sylhet top scorer
Sylhet Education Board achieved the highest 85.37 per cent pass rate in this year's HSC results, among all the nine education boards in the country.
Out of the total 37,772 examinees under the board, 31,903 came out successful and both the pass percentage and the number of GPA achievers are much higher than last year's.
This year's pass percentage 85.37 is up by 9.69 per cent, as it was 75.68 last year. The number of GPA achievers is 2065 this year against last year's only 887.
This time, 12 institutions got 100 per cent success while it was only 4 last year.
In science group, 4865 of the 5737 examinees came out successful, the pass rate being 84.8 per cent.
In humanities group, 20,158 examinees passed out of a total 24,132 (83.53 per cent pass). In business studies group, 6880 of the 7503 examinees came out successful, the pass percentage being 91.7.
