Spurious liquor kills two
Two people died after taking spurious liquor at Ratal village in Singra upazila of the district on Friday night. The deceased were identified as Abdul Majid, 40, and Gurucharan Singh, 60, of Bingram village under the upazila. Fayezur Rahman, offier-in-charge of Singra Police Station, said gurucharan, Majid and Bimal fell sick immediately after having liquor at the village at around 10:00pm on Friday. Gurucharan died at around 11:00pm while Majid on the way to Rajshahi Medical Collage Hospital at around 11:45pm.
