Arms seized, 2 held
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two people along with arms and bullets from Mathurapur village in Daulatpur upazila on Friday night. The arrestees are Ohidul Islam, 45, son of Abul Mondol of Hosnabad village and Zohurul Islam, 35, son of Foyez Ali of Sonaikandi village under the upazila. Captain Masudur Rahma, company commander of Rab-12, said a team of Rab in guise of arms buyers went to the village at about 10:30pm and arrested the duo along with three 9mm pistols, six magazines and 14 bullets. The arrestees were produced before a court that sent them to jail, said Masudur.
