Three commit 'suicide'
A housewife, a girl and a young woman allegedly committed suicide in Chapainawabganj and Magura districts on Sunday.
In Chapainawabganj, Zorina Khatun alias Koituri, 20, daughter of Mozammel Haque of Monoharpur village in Shibganj upazila, took her life by setting herself on fire at her house early in the morning, reports our correspondent.
Dipok Kumar, sub-inspector of Shibganj police station, said she might have committed suicide as her husband divorced her recently.
In Magura, a housewife and a teenage girl allegedly committed suicide in Mahammadpur upazila on Sunday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Bhagabati Rani Biswas, 26, wife of Polash Kumar Biswas of Chabinagar village and Sumi Khatun, 15, daughter of Samad Mollah of Khalia village in the upazila.
Police quoting local people said Bhagabati Rani committed suicide by swallowing poison at her house in the early morning following a feud with her husband.
In another incident, Sumi Khatun, 15, took her own life by taking pesticides at her house in the morning after failing in love.
