2 BCL men arrested at RU
Two activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Rajshahi University (RU) unit were arrested for allegedly attempting of snatching in Rajshahi city on Wednesday night.
The arrestees were Belal Hossain Bill, a student of RU anthropology department, and Imran Hossain David, a student of RU accounting and information system department.
Zillur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station, said a police patrol caught the duo from in front of Shibmandir in the city's central jail area while they were attempting to snatch from a pedestrian around 8:00am.
During interrogation, the duo agreed to the allegation, he said, adding that police sent them to Rajshahi court yesterday after a case was filed against them on charge of snatching.
