Two siblings burnt to death
A fire burnt two siblings together to death in their small hut at Barhatta upazila in the district on Thursday night.
The victims Abdul Kadir, 9, and his younger sister Ajufa, 7 were children of Lal Mia of the upazila sadar.
The fire broke out from an oven of the house when they were asleep. Their mother, bringing her minor son, came out of the house while Kadir and Ajufa were burnt to death, said Barhatta police.
