1,680 Yaba tablets seized, 3 arrested
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two youths and seized 1,480 pieces of Yaba tablets from their possessions at Shah Amanat Bridge under Karnaphuli Police Station yesterday afternoon.
The arrested were Md Abdullah, 23, and Shah Jalal, 25, of Cox's Bazar.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-7, in a drive in front of the toll box of the bridge, arrested them and seized the Yaba tablets.
Meanwhile, police arrested a source of Rab from a house at Abedin Colony in the port city yesterday morning on charge of possessing 200 pieces of Yaba tablets.
The arrestee was Ebaidur Rahman, 48, of south Patenga in the city.
