Pro-AL, Jamaat workers scuffle

The pro-Awami League and pro-Jamaat workers chased each others at Central Railway Building (CRB) here yesterday over corruption in recent recruitment. Leaders of Jamaat-backed Bangladesh Railway Employees League (BREL) alleged that one of their leaders was assaulted by the pro-AL workers. Witnesses said BREL brought out a procession from Badamtal spot at CRB demanding investigation into the seizure of cash money from the car of the railway minister's APS. They also chanted slogans demanding probe into taking bribe money from applicants by dishonest officials of the railway east zone. Bangladesh Railway Sramik League activists who gathered there to bring out another procession chased the BREL activists.
