Jubo League leader hacked to death
A local Jubo League leader yesterday succumbed to his injuries, hours after he was hacked by unidentified miscreants at Delduar upazila in Tangail.
The deceased, Firoz-al-Mamun, 35, of the upazila's Agg Elasin village, was the general secretary of the Elasin union unit of Jubo League.
Locals said a gang of miscreants hacked him with sharp weapons while he was returning home from Dhaleswari river ghat in the union around 10:30pm on Thursday.
Being informed, his family members rushed him to Tangail General Hospital where he died yesterday morning, locals added.
Police said the reason behind the killing could not be ascertain immediately.
