Pavel wins gold medal
Pavel Rahman, photojournalist of The Associated Press (AP), has won a gold medal for a photograph, titled “JUMPING” in the prestigious China International Press Photo Contest (CHIPP)-2012. Pavel, who is based in Dhaka, wins the prize in the competition's Daily Life category along with several other photographers of the AP, the world's largest and oldest news agency, said a press release. The same photograph of Pavel Rahman has gained “Award of Excellence” prize in the ' Picture of the Year ' (International) POYi- competition organised by Missouri School of Journalism in the United States. Pavel, whose many photographs have earned acclaims across the world, will travel to Beijing in December to receive the award.
