Sumi was strangled
Says autopsy report
Housewife Sumi Chowdhury was strangled and some bruises of beating on her body were found, said an autopsy report received by police yesterday afternoon.
Sources at the Forensic Medicine Department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) disclosed it but Dr Habibur Rahman of the department, who did the autopsy, denied making any comment about the findings of the report.
Sumi Chowdhury, a student of Government City College, was killed allegedly by her husband at her residence at Nalapara in the port city on March 14.
Police arrested her husband Joy Prakash Chowdhury who is now in jail.
