2 die in road crashes
Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Thakurgaon and Natore on Tuesday night and yesterday.
Our Correspondent from Thakurgaon reports: An instructor of Thakurgaon district Jubo Unnyan directorate was killed in a road accident at Khochabari village of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Tuesday night.
The victim was Walesul Islam Chowdhury, 34, son of Azharul Islam Chowdhury of Sathkhamar Moricha village at Birganj upazila in the district.
The motorcycle of Walesul collided head on with a Thakurgaon-bound pickup-van while he was going to Birganj, leaving him injured critically, said police.
He was rushed to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries after admission.
Our Natore Correspondent adds: A motorcyclist died on the spot while a Rajshahi bound pickup-van hit the motorbike from behind in Harishpur bypass area of Natore town yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Shamsul Alam, 35, son of Riaz Uddin of Mallikhati area in the town and a fourth class employee of Natore livestock office, said police.
