Judges' shortage prolongs trial processes in Ctg court
The speakers at a view-exchange meeting in the port city yesterday said the trial processes were lingered due to shortage of judges in the district court.
They demanded to fill up the shortage as 25 posts in the district court are lying vacant.
Bangladesh Human Rights Foundation (BHRF), Chittagong chapter organised the programme with justice seekers at Lawyers' Building in the court where they placed the demand on the occasion of the prime minister's visit to the city.
They also urged the authorities concerned to appoint new judges instead of canceling the system to transfer existing judges and appoint new judges in respective courts.
BHRF Chittagong chapter President Zia Habib Ahsan, General Secretary Sharif Uddin, Advocate Sunil Kumar Sarkar, Human Rights Force Member and Human Rights member Tapas Kumar Roy were also present on the occasion.
