World Theatre Day celebrated at RU
Teachers and students of music and drama department at Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday observed the `World Theatre Day' which is globally known as “Fete de la Musique”.
To mark the day, they brought out a colourful procession, staged street show and arranged different cultural programmes on the campus with much enthusiasm.
Addressing at a rally, the department Chairman Dr Muhammad Shahidullah said music and theatre should be made compulsory at primary level education for healthy mental growth of children.
