Dewanhat-CEPZ Flyover
PM's help sought
For mitigation of the traffic jam in the port city, Abdus Salam, chairman of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA), has urged the prime minister to help build Dewanhat-CEPZ flyover to be financed by Chittagong Port Authority.
He made the appeal while speaking at a press conference on the CDA's activities in the last three years at the CDA conference hall.
He said the road from CEPZ to Dewanhat point of the city always remains jammed with vehicles. One of the main reasons behind this is the container laden cargos which carry goods from the port, he added.
If a flyover is built, the city will be developed and the traffic jam will be mitigated, Salam said.
The flyover will cost around 12 hundred crore taka, the CDA chairman said.
